Maybe it’s the season.


Autumn always feels like renewal in disguise—leaves falling so something new can grow.


That’s how I see my favorite heroes and heroines, too. The ones who’ve been through fire and still believe they can start again. They remind me that strength isn’t loud; sometimes it’s quiet, steady faith that the next chapter can be different.


While I edit this week, my window will be open to the smell of autumn in the air. The story on my screen is full of risk and redemption, but outside, the world is whispering the same thing my characters are learning: letting go is also a kind of courage.


Here’s to second chances—in fiction, in life, and in whatever story you’re living right now.
